We're on vacation in Florida visiting family and friends. We're really glad the be here, especially since we are staying with Nea's brother and his family, which includes two teenage boys and a little lady about three months older than our little lady. Seeing the tiny cousins together is a lot of fun. They met back in November of last year, but haven't seen each other since. They've had fun so far, and will have plenty of time to get to know each other better. I'm returning to Nashville Monday, but Nea and wild child won't be joining me until a few days later.
Many of our posts over the next several days are likely to be shorter than usual, but we'll be sure to include plenty of pics. Yesterday was our first full day here, and we were able to get some outside time really close to home. Our niece eagerly introduced her cousin to sidewalk chalk. We all settled into the shade of the driveway and drew. Some of the adults may have had more fun drawing than the little artists (okay, mainly me, but it was my first sidewalk chalk experience too!). The little ones had a lot of fun making shapes, coloring the pictures adults drew, and drawing on themselves and each other. The rest of our time here will include swimming in the pool, swimming in the ocean, going to the Florida Aquarium, perhaps some hiking, and definitely more sidewalk chalk.
We hope you're all having as great a weekend as we are!
-Pablo
